This a data visualization of the Life Expectancy History from 1850 to 2020 in every countries of the world.

Life expectancy rapidly increased since the Age of Enlightenment. As it was increasing in the early 19th, only early industrialized countries reached the highest life expectancy, poor countries had really low life expectancy.

Over the last decades, these inequalities decreased. Every country in the world has now a higher life expectancy than any country in 1850.

The lowest life expectancy country is actually the Central African Republic with 53 years, that is 32 years less life expectancy than Hong-Kong.
