Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon - No Death Clear (True Ending)

Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon is a new roguelike puzzle game from VINE and Yacht Club Games. It's available tomorrow on the Switch, PS4, and Steam for $19.99 (I played on Steam).

This game flew completely under my radar. Honestly, I hadn't even heard of it until I got an email from Yacht Club Games with a key to try it out. I checked out some videos and thought it looked pretty good, but I was wrong... this game is *great*! This might be the best surprise of the year for me, and I say that as someone who doesn't play many puzzle games. It's really fun, and very well made.

In order to reach the true ending, you have to collect three key pieces throughout the game. There's usually one every three stages or so, just before a boss fight. They're inside one of the portals that appear in each stage, so be careful not to miss it. The requirements for each key piece are always the same: for the first one, you need three keys; for the second, you need to sacrifice one of your hitpoints; and for the third, you need 20,000 coins. Be careful not to spend too much money on upgrades, you don't want to miss the last one. After that, you fight the giant skeleton gatekeeper. Funny thing is, the first time I fought him, I had the ice axe weapon. It froze him on my first hit and then I just killed him before he could move. If you see that weapon before you reach him, make sure to grab it lol.

PS: I couldn't figure out how to replay the opening video, and I couldn't find my save file in my Steam folders, so I just went to the options menu and deleted my save in order record the opening. The rest of the gameplay is from my save with all of the items already unlocked.
