Shkodër (Shkodra, Shkoder, Scutari or Scodra) is a city in the North of Albania close to the border with Montenegro. Shkodër is a very old city with an early Bronze Age settlement (2250 BCE). The city is located between the lake of Shkoder and the Albanian Alps. The municipality of Shkoder has a population of 135,000. Some of the highlights of Shkodër are the Rozafa Castle, the centre with the Kolë Idromeno Street, the Franciscan Church from Kolë Idromeno Street, the Drin Delta, the Ebu Beker Mosque and the Lake of Shkoder with the Albanian Alps
