Why I add sound packs to my module. TD50X with Vexpressions, Edrum Workshop, Drum-Tec, Roland Cloud

Here’s a sample of why I choose to add sound packs to my TD50X module. I’ve owned Vdrums since 1997, and have owned every flagship module and update Roland has made, along with a few mid-tier Roland modules and modules from Yamaha, 2Box, and Efnote.

Fun fact: for MANY years I shied away from downloading anything into my module for fear that it was ‘too complicated’, and more importantly, I typically only used a small handful of kits and rarely would explore other sounds. That changed in 2012 when I bought my TD30. That was the first time I added a sound pack from Vexpression, and I’ll tell you, it blew my head apart!! I could not believe how much BETTER my module sounded!! Well, 12 years later, I’m not a sound fiend. Between sound editing, adding sound packs, cut & paste inside my module, I also use Superior Drummer 3 and EZ Drummer 3. I want to leave you with the notion: SOUNDS INSPIRE!!

Keep in mind while listening: even if it’s a ‘Roland kit’, most of them have a lot of edits and I cut/paste pieces from other kits from sound packs into the Roland kit.
