Perception Triumph 13 Kayak Rudder kit Installation.

If you’re looking to install a rudder kit on a Perception Triumph 13 kayak, you have come to the right place. I’m sharing my experience of the installation of one of Perception’s ‘kayak specific’ kits to my own kayak. The kit was purchased online from Cornwall Canoes.

Before I began my install, I searched YouTube and the internet for information and realised there wasn’t (as far as I was aware) a video on the installation to the Triumph 13.

I’ll show you how I fitted the rudder and share with you some tips which made the installation easier, and also some points to be aware of before you start. It took me around three hours to fit but I spent much longer as I was faffing about videoing (and drinking coffee). Take your time, measure several times and you’ll get a good result with this kit.
