There’s a reason the old stories of the Divine Council refuse to stay buried. Every time we trace the roots of the Bible back to Canaanite soil, we are reminded that mythology doesn’t disappear; it transforms, reshapes itself, and whispers through the texts we thought we already knew.
When discovering the “sons of God” and the echoes of Baal, Anat, Resheph, and Yam in the Hebrew scriptures, we're pursuing a world the Bible emerged from but seldom acknowledges.

I'll be joined by Jason Faux of ‪@DragonsinGenesisPodcast‬ , and we'll consider all the deities ancient people understood as storms, war, healing, the sea, the desert, life, and death. Raw forces of reality. We'll try to highlight how their fingerprints still cling to the language, poetry, and imagination of the scriptures many of us were raised with.

This connection isn’t something to shy away from, but something to marvel at. It means the Bible is tied to a much older, stranger, and more beautiful cosmic landscape than we’ve ever been told. Let's unfold the story together.
