On this trip I had the opportunity to give thanks for these fish that I have been catching for almost 48 years now! The weather was perfect, and the wind was perfect, especially while being on a smaller boat. I landed a total of 7 fish while dragging baits with planer boards. If you have never tried planer boards, you should give them a try one day, it is definitely some work, but it is so much fun!

The bait that I used was frozen shad. I picked up a couple large shad from my buddy Joe's bait shop in Valley View Texas named Hooked up Tackle. I also landed 3 of the fish on these double hook rigs that he made for me with an orange peg float.

All fish were let go on this trip.
