Fireworks and Birds - How to pull a broken blood feather

Willow must of been frightened from the fireworks last night and had a night fright. She broke 2 tail feathers that were blood feathers. Blood feathers are new feathers growing in and if they break then can bleed. They may clot or continue to bleed, you must make a decision quickly to either pull or let it clot. In this case it bled twice so I decided its best to pull. Please go to and avian vet if you are not confident to pull a broken blood feather.
Excuse my dirty sink. I did not want to waste tike cleaning the sink first. It's cleaning day today so it will be sparkly after.
