They were born with an obsession that possesses them inside

It serves them as a guide
When they’re marching through the darkness it becomes their source of light
Navigation's easy as they breeze along the ride
It's like a message from the heavens had been written in the skies

Yet others run and hide
They don’t want to make an effort they would rather close their eyes
Crippled full of fear they tend to veer unsafe to drive
It is a tragedy to watch how they get lost and left behind

Will that be your demise?
Or will you make an effort, put in work, and take the time?
It really doesn't matter if you end up wrong or right
So long as when your time is up the records show that you had tried

The destination's rarely clear
Even those possessed can feel a change throughout the years
Some of us are passionate go hard push thru the fear
And then discover that our purpose wasn't waiting for us there

It happens all the time
You were destined for the stage but fate had other plans for life
Perhaps you didn't hustle hard enough but that’s a lie
Because so many others coasted pass and did not get denied

It can really start to wear
You look around for justice and begin to wonder where
Did all of this go wrong you swear to god it isn't fair
You have been trying but it really seems nobody f_cking cares

But you got to keep the faith
Hope is not a strategy but helps along the way
It shouldn't feel like effort and for sure not give you pain
But if it gets you hopping out of bed it's probly worth the chase
