Four 18-inch (plus) Archtop Guitars from the Golden Age - Demo and Comparison

Описание к видео Four 18-inch (plus) Archtop Guitars from the Golden Age - Demo and Comparison

This is a demo and comparison of four of the biggest archtop guitars from three of the major builders of the era. Unfortunately, I did not have an Epiphone Emperor to compare at the time of shooting this video. What we do have though is a 1935 Gibson Super 400 (originally owned by Roy Clark), a 1948 Stromberg Master 400, a 1950 Gibson Super 400 CN, and a 1953 D'Angelico New Yorker cutaway. Let me know what you think and what stands out about each one. The 1935 Super 400 could use a refret, and doesn't ring out quite as well as it might if that were done, but it still holds up very well.

All guitars are strung with Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze strings.
