In the 1960s demand from the auto industry led to the production of new 60’ boxcars intended to haul auto parts. Cars like this could be found throughout North America. Later in their careers many of these boxcars were used for other types of loads including appliances and paper goods.

Many railroads used these 60' PS-1 boxcars. This model is decorated for Grand Trunk Western.
