Saint Carlo Acutis (1991–2006) will be canonized on September 7, 2025, by Pope Leo XIV, becoming the first saint of the millennial generation.

Born in London in 1991 and raised in Milan, he received his First Communion at the age of seven, showing a special devotion to the Eucharist. He attended daily Mass and Eucharistic adoration, often saying that “the Eucharist is the highway to heaven,” making his faith the center of his life.

Carlo helped those in need, served as a catechist for children, and used his IT talents to connect the Church with the world. His online exhibition on Eucharistic miracles resonated worldwide and continues to inspire many today.

Although he passed away in 2006 at the young age of 15 due to leukemia, his pure faith and love continue to light up the hearts of countless people. His remains are now enshrined at the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Assisi, offering hope and inspiration to pilgrims.
