Henry Cavill is prepared to fight Chris Hemsworth to play the role of He Man in an upcoming Masters of the Universe movie.

Sony producers have made it clear that Chris Hemsworth is their top pick for the role, given his look and the physique that he's developed to play the God of Thunder and the future role of Hulk Hogan.
However in previous interviews he has shown little interest in it, given that the character has so many similarities with Thor.

In contrast, Henry Cavill is very interested in playing He Man. He clearly has the physique, as well as sword fighting skills from The Witcher and a possible Highlander reboot - so he good be a great choice!

Netflix also has an upcoming Anime show - Masters of the Universe: Revelation - which carries on from where the 80's cartoon series (He Man and the Masters of the Universe) left off. It's directed by Kevin Smith, and many fans have high expectations for it. The popularity of this show could build the momentum needed to get the long awaited movie going again in Hollywood!
