Learning to Love Again at Farm Sanctuary

Описание к видео Learning to Love Again at Farm Sanctuary

Here at Farm Sanctuary, we work hard every day to bring peace and comfort to rescued farm animals, giving them the care they need to recover, thrive, and learn to love again. In turn, they inspire us with the strength and resilience they demonstrate — often, in spite of being treated with cruelty, neglect, or indifference in their pasts.
Around this time last year, we embarked on one of our most ambitious rescue missions to date when we were called to the scene of a horrific cruelty case in Cattaraugus County, NY. More than 700 animals were struggling to survive at a so-called “farm-to-table” operation that presented itself as a “humane” alternative to industrial farming. Sadly, the reality was anything but humane: Animals were emaciated, ill, and frightened — and they all lacked the individualized love and care that they needed and deserved.
But despite the horrors from whence they came, these incredible survivors learned to love again while recuperating at Farm Sanctuary. Mr. Daffodil turkey, for example, found out what it was to be treated with kindness and care, and soon felt up to strutting proudly around his enclosure. Earl goat found companionship and love through fellow cruelty survivors — and together, they continue to help each other grow and thrive. Some animals found strength from their new human friends at sanctuary; others, from one another. Through it all, they learned that there is love after heartbreak — and inspired us to share in their positive, hopeful view of the world.
