True beauty comes from being happy and healthy — not from sacrificing your health in the pursuit of looking flawless. Many people today chase a wrinkle-free face, a fair complexion, or a perfectly contoured look, often turning to cosmetic injections as a quick fix. These injections are easily accessible, often available without prescriptions, which leads individuals of all ages to use them without understanding their own medical conditions or current medications.
This careless usage can result in serious health issues — even death in rare cases. That’s why it’s crucial to be informed and cautious. In this message, I aim to help you embrace natural beauty while safeguarding your health, because a healthy body naturally reflects radiance and confidence. It's equally important to control impulsive desires — overdoing anything comes with consequences, as real-life cases repeatedly show us.
I'm Medha Singh from Juvena Herbals — Aesthetician, Cosmetologist, and your trusted Skin and Hair Specialist — here to guide you toward safe, holistic beauty.
I’ve come to realize that true beauty lies in being healthy, not in chasing temporary fixes like IV glutathione. It may reduce wrinkles temporarily by paralyzing facial muscles, but it doesn’t treat the skin itself and can cause bruising, hormonal imbalances, and even build resistance over time, requiring repeated use. More importantly, it's a neurotoxin that can remain in the bloodstream, with rare but serious side effects like botulism. Despite these risks, it is easily available without prescription, making it dangerously accessible.
Similarly, IV glutathione — although a natural antioxidant — is being misused for cosmetic skin lightening. When taken this way, it suppresses melanin temporarily, but can lead to uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, liver damage, hormonal fluctuations, and life-threatening allergic reactions. Once people have taken it, they feel stuck in a cycle of needing more every few months. Even drinkable forms seem harmless, but later people realize that they are unnecessarily stressing their liver, even though their body was already capable of producing glutathione naturally due to their good health.
After reading the 2022 FDA advisory and scientific journals, I understood how dangerous these shortcuts can be, especially when taken without medical supervision. People act impulsively — buying these treatments online and using them without knowing the risks or understanding their health conditions. That’s why I now believe these cosmetic injections should only be prescribed by qualified dermatologists, and only when absolutely necessary.
IV Vitamin C is another treatment misused for beauty. Though helpful in small amounts, injecting it can cause side effects like fatigue, sleep disturbances, blood pressure issues, and nutrient depletion, all of which harm overall health and immunity. I know how tempting it is to look flawless for public events, but that mindset can be dangerous.
So you have to make a choice: no more shortcuts. Choose a balanced lifestyle, regular exercise, proper skincare, and self-acceptance. Wrinkles and sagging are natural parts of aging — not flaws to erase. Believe in taking care of yourself gracefully and safely, trusting science, and loving yourself enough to say no to temporary beauty at the cost of lasting health.
