Testing the Limits?! Off-Road Fun on West Rim Trail with Grand Cherokee WK and WJ!

How good is a mostly stock Jeep Grand Cherokee WK off road? We're gonna find out!

In this video, we head out for a scenic off road adventure on the West Rim Trail in Sand Hollow, Utah. We've brought along both the WJ and WK Grand Cherokees for this adventure! We know the WJ can take on the West Rim Trail, but what about a WK Grand Cherokee with only a 2" "budget boost" spacer lift and 31" all-terrain tires?

The Jeep WK Grand Cherokee is the third generation Grand Cherokee, after the WJ (2nd gen) and ZJ (first gen). It was made from 2005 - 2010, and it's the first Grand Cherokee to have independent front suspension (IFS) instead of two solid axles like the WJ and the ZJ.
While the IFS provides a nicer on-road handling experience, it's generally not considered to be as capable off road. However, I'm constantly surprised by just how capable this Jeep can be...

West Rim is a "moderate" trail in the Sand Mountain OHV area, rated 4 out of 10, so it's not super extreme, but it definitely has its challenging portions! It also provides some incredible views and scenery in the Utah desert!
