2 complete days are required to see all important places around Guwahati.
Best place to stay is Paltan Bazar as Paltan Bazar is well connected and busses / cars / auto easily accessible.

Standard Hotel cost: INR 1200 to 2500 .
Food per day per person: INR 500.00
Auto fare per day: INR 1500 to 2000
Paltan bazar to Kamakhya Temple bus fare: INR 20.00, auto: INR 180.00 Car: INR 300.00
Umananda up and down ferry charge (Govt): INR 20.00
Ropeway up and down: INR 200.00

Tour Plan:
Day 1: Start early morning, reach Kamakhya within 6:30 am. After Puja visit Bhubaneswari Temple (hire a auto from Kamakhya temple).
Have breakfast at Kamakhya.
Take bus and reach Umananda Ghat, take ferry and visit Umananda Island.
After Umananda visit Bashistha Ashram and get back to Paltan Bazar for lunch.
In the evening go for Sunset Cruise.
Day 2: Start early morning, visit Pabitora Sanctuary, you will get back within 12.00 noon. Visit Nabagraha Temple after lunch and then go for ropeway.
