I first came to Alleppey in June of last year during Monsoon season. Lots of floods occurred and the weather was very miserable so I left after a few days. I decided to come back during the peak season and I was amazed! Alleppey is so so so beautiful and I am so happy that I revisited. The sun is always shining, the sky is always blue and the backwaters are gorgeous. Many people have told me that this place is known as the Venice of the East and I can see why. The use of water transport here is really amazing and there are even government boats and boat stands that take you through the backwaters. Alappuzha is a must-visit destination!
