This show took place on Haile Selassie's birthday, and is said to be one of
Bob's favorite shows. This is only the second version of "Sun is Shining"
in circulation I believe, but the show all around has a great feel. Nice
AUD sound also, until it gets to "No Woman No Cry" where there is reel damage.

It was confirmed as another audience source from the guy I got it from, DAK.

I was an Usher for that beautiful sunny day at the Bowl one the best concerts I've ever been to and it's 2024. A giant cloud of smoke filled the show if you catch my drift everyone was high whenever I hear his music it takes me back to that beautiful day yeah mon

I was at both concerts. 78 and 79. Bob was more animated in this one. Personally I can't say which was better. Both deeply affected me. This was the Kaya tor as I recall. The next was the Survival tour (aptly named as bob was obviously deteriorating from his illness). Both concerts were blessed with beautiful warm days. One of the best days of my life. I saw Bob in Montego Bay at the Reggae Sunsplash II festival in July 79. Bob's last concert in JA. Also an 11 year old Ziggy's first concert performance. I was also amazingly fortunate to be at the legendary Roxy concert in 1976. The one Rolling Stone called "the greatest concert ever." I was one of approximately 50 non-music industry people there. Probably the best night of my life. I lived a decade of reggae and held Rita Marley's hand backstage as the Melody Makers performed at the Universal Amphitheatre in 1986 (Ziggy's group). Blessed, I give thanks to the Most Hi this Thanksgiving day 2021.

I was there. I wish you all could have been there. I haven't been the same since. He was in a trance like state the whole time...dancing in circles while singing and playing guitar, eyes closed. It blew my mind. He got the crowd chanting halfway through the show...I may have left my body!! Words cannot tell..1979 was different. He cut the show short because he wasn't feeling well. He was gone 18 months later. So sad. I think of him all the time. A Prophet for Peace. We could sure use some of that these days. Stand strong and love loud!
