We began our Adi Kailash Yatra from Almora, embarking on a spiritual and adventurous journey through the beautiful Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Our first destination was Pithoragarh, a picturesque town nestled in the hills, where we paused briefly before continuing towards Dharchula.

Upon reaching Dharchula, a quaint town situated on the banks of the Kali River and sharing its border with Nepal, we settled in for an overnight stay. This town serves as an important base for pilgrims and trekkers heading towards the Vyas Valley and Adi Kailash.

During our stay in Dharchula, we completed the necessary formalities and obtained the official permit required to enter the restricted Vyas Valley region. The process was smooth, and the local authorities were quite helpful in guiding us through the documentation.

The next morning, while the permits were being processed and other preparations were underway, some of my fellow travelers took the opportunity to explore the nearby areas of Nepal, just across the border. It was a brief but fascinating visit, allowing them to experience the culture and charm of the neighboring country before we resumed our sacred journey toward Adi Kailash...
