Bitcoin Market Update – 04 January 2026

Bitcoin has broken through a long-term resistance level

Price is holding above that level and slowly rising

Multiple crypto market charts are breaking resistance

What a pullback would look like from here

Why caution still matters despite improving structure

Bitcoin has pushed through a resistance level that I’ve been tracking for a long time, and more importantly, it’s staying above it. Instead of a sharp move, price is grinding higher, which is generally what you want to see after a breakout.

In this update, I walk through the charts and show exactly what I’m looking at. I focus on the trend line that has capped price for months, why the break is encouraging, and why I still want to see how Bitcoin behaves if we get a pullback back into that level.

All four of the main crypto market charts have now broken their respective resistance levels. That doesn’t mean price is going to move straight up from here, but it does suggest the broader structure is improving. From here, it’s about whether support can form and hold.

I also touch on some external factors to be aware of, but as always, the charts come first. Price action and structure are what matter most.
