It is dharma that forms the very foundational basis of Bharatiya civilization and its cultural essence. One's understanding of Dharma is reciprocated through the individual's swadharma and then summed up as actionable Karma. Swadharma here is one's precise understanding and practical reasoning of dharma based on logic. Karma is the action done that is in line with the principles of Dharma and Swadharma. Without the understanding of Dharma, the realization of one's swadharma and karma stands incomplete. In this thought-provoking talk, Dr Koenrad Elst and Dr Sabareesh.P.A undergo a theoretical dissection through examples from the Upanishads, Ramayana, Mahabharata etc in linking the framework of Dharma, Swadharma, and Karma and as to how yoga could be a useful tool in improving one's mental capacity to pick the deeper understanding and complexity of this framework.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Koenraad Elst is a Belgian Indologist with a Master's in Indology, Sinology, and Philosophy followed by original fieldwork in BHU and a Doctorate on Hindu nationalism. He is famous as an oriental philologist, and historian. One of the few Westerners actively defending Hinduism, he is known for his blunt and objective views.

Dr Sabareesh P.A. is a writer and author of 'A Brief History of Science in India', 'Our Hindu Nationhood' and a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
