Seychelles | Praslin | Beaches [4k]

Praslin is the second largest of the three main islands of the Seychelles and has a lot of beautiful beaches - the two most famous and picturesque ones are Anse Lazio and Anse Gorgette.

Anse Lazio is located on the far north of the island and has white sand, clear turquoise water and picturesque palm trees and is just beautiful. You can easily find privacy and some shadow under the trees and go snorkeling near both ends of the beach.
Anse Gorgettte is located on the premises of the Constance Lemuria Hotel but if you don’t stay at the hotel you can visit with a free permit too. In any case you will have to walk about 15 minutes over a small hill to get there. The beach is untouched and there are no facilities there.

Snorkeling is great at the island too. We did it on Anse lazio and while we stayed at the Constance Lemuria on Anse Petit Kerlan.

If you need a break from the beaches there is Praslin National Park which is famous for the Coco de Mer palm tree. They grow only on the Seychelles and can get up to 200 years old.

Praslin ist die zweitgrößte der drei Hauptinseln der Seychellen und hat viele schöne Strände – die beiden berühmtesten und malerischsten sind Anse Lazio und Anse Gorgette.

Anse Lazio liegt ganz im Norden der Insel und ist mit weißem Sand, klarem türkisfarbenem Wasser und malerischen Palmen einfach wunderschön. Aufgrund der Länge des Strandes ist Privatsphäre und etwas Schatten unter den Palmen einfach zu finden bzw. es möglich an beiden Enden des Strandes schnorcheln zu gehen.

Anse Gorgettte befindet sich auf dem Gelände des Constance Lemuria Hotels, aber auch ohne Übernachtung im Hotel kann der Strand mit einer kostenlosen Genehmigung besucht werden. In jedem Fall bedeutet es aber einen ca. 15 minütigen Fußmarsch über einen kleinen Hügel, um dorthin zu gelangen. Der Strand ist unberührt und es gibt dort keine Einrichtungen.

Schnorcheln ist jedenfalls zu empfehlen. Wir haben es am Anse Lazio ausprobiert und während wir im Constance Lemuria übernachtet haben, am Anse Petit Kerlan.

Eine Pause von den Stränden kann man sich im Praslin-Nationalpark genönnen, welcher für die Coco de Mer-Palme berühmt ist. Sie wachsen nur auf den Seychellen und können bis zu 200 Jahre alt werden.
