Class 47s Reading Jan/Feb 1992

A total of 24 different Brush are seen early on in 1992 on a variety of Cross Country and NSE workings with the exception of 47806 seen in September 1990 .
What a great place to sample a variety of locos in the twighlight of their careers and I remember many fantastic performances from the likes of 423/438 .As well as the NSE pool of locos featured , several twin tanks are captured with most never making it into the Virgin era and would become RES conversions within a couple of years . 47825 would become the horrid "purple ronnie ".
The footage ends with a departure from Reading behind 423 as I head back to the Capital on a Oxford Padd.
