When a Good Woman Goes Bad
When she came on home from work today,
She didn't smile and she slammed the door.
She'd been stewin' all day, and her friends had told her
Not to let me stay no more.
With a serious plea on my behalf, I said
"You know that I'm doin' my best."
She said "Bullshit! You're a worthless wretch,
And you're just like all the rest."
Well, it seems the only thing she wants out of this relationship is me.
But I'm not leavin'!
It was painful for me to hear these words
Comin' from my baby's mouth.
And it really got weird when she said "Hey, dude,
Find a job or head on south."
"Find a job?!" said I. "Now hold on a minute!
Let's not lose control."
"That's right," said she "or I'll spread your things
East to west, and pole to pole."
Well, it seems the only thing she wants out of this relationship is me.
But I'm not leavin'!
Then she took away my car and my DVR
And a couple of my other toys.
And she said "Don't hang out at T-Bones Bar
Gettin' blistered with the boys."
I realized my life as a creature of leisure
Was takin' a dreadful twist
When she loaded up her Saturday Night Special,
Aimed, fired, and just barely missed.
Well, it seems the only thing she wants out of this relationship is me.
But I'm not leavin'!
Now, I'll be the first to admit that I take
A rather laid back view of life.
But I've never had a reason to go to work,
I've been supported by my wife.
Well that's all different, you know, by now,
By the situation here of late.
I'll have to find a new means of support
To save me from a horribler fate.
I'll read the papers, weigh my options,
Gonna really think it through.
And use the least effort possible
To get back to that life I knew.
But should I take that drastic step?
Get a job, and a-settle down?
Hell, no! I'll find me another woman.
Better get out and poke around.
Well, it seems the only thing she wants out of this relationship is me.
But I'm not grievin'!
Rap
Cuz the way I look at it,
All's well that ends well.
