Mixed Media Portrait Technique

Hello Everyone!

Today is my Birthday! Perfect time to use some pastel cake frosting colors on this mixed media portrait. I am trying to be more intuitive with my techniques and trying to trust the process more. So, I start out with an abstract background using a variety of tools and colors that I really enjoy but am unaccustomed to using. Then because of the "Figure it out as I go" method that I am employing, I sort of fumble my way through the rest of the painting.

Golden Heavy Body Acrylics - Teal, Neutral Gray
Liquitex Basics - Bright Aqua Green, Rose Pink, Unbleached Titanium
Amsterdam - Titanium White
Winsor & Newton - Light Violet, Powder Blue
Master's Touch - Sea Foam Green, Light Coral, Indian Yellow, Gray Blue
Liquitex Heavy Body - Cadmium Orange, Light Pink
Artist's Loft - Turquoise (Acrylic Ink)
