On Wednesday June 22, 2022 a plaque was dedicated in downtown Acworth, GA to recognize the establishment of Day's Chevrolet in 1959 by Levi Day and Jack Diemer. The hometown automobile dealership is now in it's third generation of family ownership and operation.

DAY’S CHEVROLET HISTORY

Levi Day and his son-in-law Jack Diemer purchased the dealership on Main Street in Acworth from Bill Hamner in September 1959. The dealership grew and expanded in the 1960s. In 1985 Jack Diemer’s sons (and Levi Day’s grandsons) Calvin & Alvin Diemer took over operation of the dealership as partners. They expanded the dealership again in the 1980s as the business continued to grow. In 2000 Calvin purchased his brother’s interest in Day’s Chevrolet. Having outgrown the original Main Street location, the dealership moved to Cobb Parkway in 2003. While Calvin remains as President of Day’s Auto Group, his son Daniel is the Dealer Principal of Day’s Chevrolet Acworth and his son Andrew is Dealer Principal of Day’s Chevrolet Jasper. The company also operates Day’s Pre-owned Supercenter in Rockmart.
