Our first stop is the breathtaking Zhinvali Reservoir, a stunning body of turquoise water nestled between the mountains. While it looks like a natural paradise, we reveal the dark history behind its creation in the 1980s Soviet era, where the ancient historic village of Zhinvali was completely submerged underwater to build the dam. Locals say the ruins of old houses and churches still lie beneath the depths, adding a mysterious layer to this beautiful landscape.

Continuing our journey, we arrive at the majestic Ananuri Fortress complex, a 13th-century castle that once served as the residence of the Eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi. While the architecture and the Church of the Assumption are magnificent, the real story lies in the legend of its name. We narrate the tragic and heroic tale of "Ana from Nuri," a brave woman who knew the location of a secret tunnel leading to the Aragvi River that kept the fortress alive during a Tatar siege. Despite being captured and brutally tortured by enemies, Ana refused to betray her people and sacrificed her life to protect the secret passage. This vlog dives deep into how her sacrifice gave the fortress its name, Ananuri.
