"One thing glass has taught me is that there are many way to look at things. It all depends on from which angle you look and through which filter." We encounter glass on a daily basis and yet it is more invisible than ever. Its transparency has become at metaphor for its position in modern society. However, with a change of perspective and open eyes there are still things to be learned from this material.
Mette Colberg is an artist working and researching through the material glass.
With a passion for glass and especially the transparency of glass, her artistic work challenges the traditional perception of glassart by introducing alternative ways to experience glass. With point of departure in handmade photographic glass filters and photography, she is researching the immaterial aspects and the ambiguity of transparent glass and how these notions can trigger creative thinking and new perspectives.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
