Jack White is my kind of musician. Sometimes he makes records where he plays most of the tracks himself and other times, he surrounds himself with great musicians. He’s done many projects, had many bands and he continues to experiment with musical genres from Alternative to Country, Folk to Punk and sometimes he sounds and plays a bit like a couple of guys from Led Zeppelin. What more could you want!? A special thanks and credit go to Huddy's World for the lovely animation on the background of the first clip. The 1st song I covered was from The White Stripes, White Blood Cells record called We’re Going To Be Friends. Lately, I’ve really been focusing on Jack White’s approach to writing and recording. He is among the best there is at capturing a sincere performance both live and in the studio. When I hear his music, I’m reminded that my favorite kind of art isn’t trying to be perfect, it’s trying to be genuine.

Our House by Crosby, Still & Nash is one of those songs that stops me every time I hear it and puts me right back to a very specific time and feeling. That was a song that our family listened to and sang together from a very young age and was surely one of the many songs that ultimately made me fall in love with music. Thank you Graham Nash! The third song is a short, funky instrumental original that I recorded very quickly one day that revolves around a bass riff. It sounds a bit like a TV show theme to me and who knows, maybe that’s what it will be someday :) All of these short videos and lots more like them are on my Instagram account @miamorrismusic - With this IG stuff, I only take a couple of hours to learn, record and post so I can do them right after school on some days. It's fun to be able to do some quick projects of songs I really love or grooves that I think sound cool. I hope you find them entertaining.

I’ve had several people inquire about how they might be able to help me out. At this point, what would help me the most is to keep growing an audience of people that have a genuine interest in my music and my musical journey. If you like any of my videos, watch them all the way through, (several times if you’d like), give them a like, comment, subscribe to my channel and share my work with anyone and everyone you know. There is a SHARE link right under the video player that makes it pretty easy. If you have a Facebook or Twitter account, post my videos on there and encourage your friends to share them as well. Regardless, THANK YOU for taking any interest at all in what I do and I hope I can continue to earn your support.

I’m 14 years old and I want to be a musician when I grow up. I try to play lots of instruments but the one that I feel most at home on is a drum set. I would say the only thing that impresses me more than a great musician is a great songwriter so I also spend some of my time trying to learn the magic of songwriting. I thought it would help me keep focused on music if I started a drum series where I learned a new song every couple of weeks. After 4 years, it’s now turned into a larger musical search but my goal hasn’t changed. Hopefully, I will keep doing it, keep loving music and keep getting better.
