This video shows the best moments of the third Med Dialogue Leaders Bootcamp on “Developing critical thinking tools” held in Valencia from 29th January to 2nd February 2022.
Through a series of insight sessions and working groups, the objective of this Bootcamp was to equip participants from the Euro-med space, with core skills around critical-thinking, problem-assessment and fact-checking. At the same time, they were invited to perform open-mindedness, and challenge stereotypes, propaganda and misinformation. Communicating effectively and exchanging with others are also at the core of the training sessions.
Participants had as well the opportunity to meet local organisations namely: the “Plataforma de asociaciones de familiares víctimas del Franquismo” which is a federation of associations of victims’ relatives of Francoism buried in the different graves of Paterna, or “The World Sustainable Urban Food Centre” (CEMAS) which is a joint initiative between Valencia City Council and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, created to address the challenges facing cities in food and urban consumption, or the Las Naves de València urban innovation center.
The main outcome of the Bootcamp is the implementation of 29 initiatives in the framework of a Common Action called “Rethink, Reconnect the Med”, during the last two weeks of March 2022. The purpose is to bring together young leaders beyond national borders, in order to build a common vision and question prejudices, propaganda, and development models through critical thinking, and consolidate synergies for future cooperation in their respective communities and beyond.
