Have I Lost My Mind Completely?

Ever since I moved into the house, regular lighting in the basement has been tricky. I happened upon a set of 6 CFL bulbs back in the early days, they were GE. And after I put all 6 bulbs in, 1 didn't work out of the package. GE sent me a coupon good to replace it, but I couldn't find another 6-pack anywhere of that wattage. I found some other CFL to replace it.

Over the years, I've had to replace 2 or 3 of them in total. A lot of the reason for that is due to the socket itself, and how the bulb must burn at least partially base up. I'd always joke about the Chinese eggrolls cooking in the sockets, because after those lights had been on for an hour or so you could really smell the Chinamatronics roasting.

Now I could possibly go online and find a nice set of 6 CFL bulbs. Or I could take them all out and put incandescents in there. The problem is, incandescents are scarce now, and although I certainly have a collection, pulling 6 at one time is a major blow.

LEDs are terrible light quality. They flicker, the color rendering is all off, and they give me a headache. On top of all of that, they always have a delay. Some worse than others, but they always bring that "did they burn out already" question to your mind when you flip the switch on, and THEN they come on. All of them. Except for ONE. SGLEDs.
