'Beaten and starved': Stars allege abuse at heart of British Gymnastics | ITV News

Star gymnasts have made allegations of widespread physical and emotional abuse, and bullying, at the heart of British Gymnastics.

Two of the sport's stars have told ITV News about the shocking treatment they received from their coaches from a very young age.

We've been told children were physically hurt, given powerful painkillers, humiliated about their weight and put on diets at just eight years old.

It was so common they felt it was normal.

Now they are calling for the sport to clean up its act and protect the next generation of children.
