Olympus E500 Black N White Filter Street Photography

I guess you can call this retro photography now. The Olympus EVOLT E-500 8-megapixel digital SLR camera came out in 2005 so it's pretty retro these days. I played around with the inbuilt color filters for black and white monochrome and the contrast and sharpness settings. Got some nice creamy Jpegs. All good practice for when I become a real photographer.

The DSLR takes getting used to and you can't take it for granted.. You actually have to know something about photography and cameras.. which you take for granted in mirrorless cameras that are so forgiving with their WYSIWYG technology.

I didn't film this one. Just Jerry and I (Jerry is my Jackabee dog) out on town. It's refreshing not worriying about filming. Give me more time to relax and enjoy the moments.

If I get any good at this black and white photography... I might just buy one of those Leica and Subscribe cameras...
