Welcome to the November 2019 episode of our “In Touch with Durham County” television show. We use this show to share vital information about the wonderful programs and services provided by Durham County Government.

In this month's show, co-hosts Deborah Craig-Ray, General Manager of Strategic Planning and Innovation, and BOCC Chair Wendy Jacobs welcome Department of Social Services Director Ben Rose and Christy Malott, Chair of the Community Child Protection Team in segment one. In the second segment, we welcome Durham County Cooperative Extension Director Donna Rewalt.

In part one of our show this month, Rose and Malott are here to shed light on the critical role that the CCPT plays in our community. The CCPT is a group of community representatives who promote a community-wide approach to addressing child abuse and neglect.

In segment two, Rewalt will chat about her work as the newest director of the Extension and leadership of this unique department. The Cooperative Extension creates opportunities for lifelong learning and connect residents with resources to improve their quality of life through education and other services, workshops and trainings as well as other events and programs.
