Описание к видео Let’s Map: Understanding Your Child’s Programming Appointment

The University of Michigan Sound Support Team's mission is to improve the quality and timeliness of care for children who are deaf and hard of hearing, including diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of hearing loss.
This series of presentations is a response from our patients and families that want to learn more about hearing loss, speech and language development, educational issues and updates in technology. This webinar will provide a description of the various procedures used by audiologists when mapping a speech processor. We will review the basic components of the cochlear implant and how they work to deliver information to the ear. We will also go over some suggestions on using your time with your audiologist to its full potential to help optimize the speech processor program.
