Visited 10+ SKIN CLINICS in Malaysia to get rid of my dark spots | pico laser, skincare

What I learned is that Pico Laser is the number one, most recommended treatment for clearing pigmentation. It is this non invasive laser that destroy your skin cells so it can regenerate, removing the discoloration while boosting collagen production.

There are 4 types of PICO laser where all clinics claim to have the best machine but it is not the equipment that matters but who's using it. Not all clinics have skin doctors, many just have aestheticians or skin care therapists or technicians who are great for facials but then for something serious like laser you would want to find a doctor who better understand skin and the science behind it.

They should be using 2 to 3 different laser heads as dark spots have different depths and sizes. It should be dealt with in a more customised way. I've been to some places that only uses just one head where they did it super quickly and it wasn't as effective.

I did trial sessions at all 10 clinics, I wouldn't recommend that. It is better to get a package where you go in once a month for 6 months at the same place because then they get to know your skin and they know how to adjust the laser and the treatment to get deeper to remove the more stubborn dark spots.

You get what you paid for. A session of PICO laser in the US is $300 -$1500 whereas here in Malaysia it's $75 -$400 per session which is still a huge range. They are some really cheap affordable options but they tend to not be as effective nor effective.

Finally, you have to be really committed in your skincare as this is not a one time fix as I learned the hard way because if you continue to have bad habits of going out without sunscreen the dark spots will come back.

These are the 3 clinics that I would highly recommend: Maple Clinic, Beverly Wilshire and Signature Clinic as they all have skin doctors on site who are thorough and knowledgeable.

Their 6 sessions prices are about the same and I leave every session with my face looking red but downtime is just a few days. After 2 weeks when it is fully healed and the skin has turned over, it is brighter, more glowy and of course the sun spots, freckles and pigmentation has faded.
