Star Trek Bridge Commander Enable Widescreen + Windowed Resolution Settings 1280x720 1920x1080

Star Trek: Bridge Commander screen resolution configuration settings and workaround hack on Windows 10. This will crash if you don't consider that most resolutions (other than 1280x720 apparently) will automatically reconfigure to use 4:3 (1920x1080 will become 1920x1440 for example and crash in fullscreen). 1280x1024 would be the default max resolution.

Bridge Commander on a wide screen might not be filling the entire screen and add vertical black bars/letterboxes.The game resolutions officially are only 4:3 aspect ratio and widescreen monitors use 16:9 aspect ratio.

Modify the config file in a text editor (not word, use notepad++ or notepad2, notepad might work but might also add characters which the game can't process.
