Скачать или смотреть UAVs, Robotic Ground Vehicles Rigorously Tested With CBRN Sensors

A series of field tests for unmanned aerial and ground vehicles (UAVs and UGVs) equipped with sensitive CBRN sensors was recently performed by the CBRN Sensor Integration on Robotic Platforms (CSIRP) program team of the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense in partnership with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).

Called Rio Robotico 2022, the field tests assessed the UAVs’and UGVs’ chemical detectors, radiation detectors, autonomous navigation, and obstacle avoidance systems.

The information collected during the event is intended to help improve integrated systems for future warfighter engagements.

DTRA enables the Department of Defense, other U.S. government organizations and international partners to counter and deter Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and other emerging threats.

Other partners who participated in Rio Robotico 2022 included the United States Military Academy at West Point, United States Army Special Operations Command, U.S. Army DEVCOM Chemical Biological Center, The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, and Draper.
