Cyborg Superman Origin - How An Honest Astronaut Turned Into A Monster That Crushed Superman

The storyline ‘Reign of the Supermen’, which follows the events after Superman’s death, popularised different variants of Supermen in the 90s. Cyborg Superman was one of them. The character was created by Dan Jurgens and had already made its comic appearance a few years ago in 1987.
He began his story as a genius scientist who seemingly died from radioactive mutation. Instead of dying, he actually transformed into a consciousness that could take over and control any form of technology imaginable.
Plagued by the pain of life, Henshaw as Cyborg Superman, strayed from the path of righteousness and turned against the Man of Steel. This was the catalyst that expanded his story. He eventually got intertwined with the several pillars of DC such as the Justice League, Apokolips, the Manhunters, the Sinestro Corps, and the Green Lantern Corps.
