I want to ask you a small quiz the question is which blood group is called as the universal donor option A W positive option B w negative option C A positive option D A negative i will tell you the answer with explanation at the end of this video so please watch the video till the end in the entire population of the world there are only 15% of the people who have this negative blood group so what is this negative blood group see our RBCs are red blood cells remember it it's not RCB this is RBC so many people confuse it so our RBCs have a protein called as RH factor that is a recess factor so it's very simple if you have if your RBCs have this recess factor you are called as Rh positive like A positive B positive O positive AB positive if your RBCs lack this protein you will be called as Rh negative red group like A negative B negative O negative A negative and as you all are aware that we have something called as immunity power our immunity cells recognizes the foreign bodies the foreign bodies which are of outside nature like bacteria virus anything which enters inside our blood will be immediately recognized as foreign bodies and our immunity starts to fight with them so what happens when a orange negative person receives a orange positive blood see by birth Rh negative person will not have Rh factor on their RBCsis so so to the immune cells of a Rh negative person Rh factor looks like a foreign body it treats Rh factor like a foreign body just like a bacteria or virus so as soon as a Rh positive blood enters the Rh negative blood the immune cells of the Rh negative person will start fighting the Rh positive blood cells and will destroy them this is called as hemolysis so since this immunity recognizes Rh positive blood cells as foreign body only Rh negative blood can be given to the Rh negative person during emergencies so in any trauma or any emergencies if there is a blood loss from Rh negative person he has to receive the blood donation from the Rh negative people only but if you are a Rh positive person you can receive Rh negative blood group because the Rh positive blood group will not recognize Rh negative blood as a foreign body it will accept the negative blood group as its own blood group so in blood transfusion it is very necessity to check for the orange compatibility what happens when a pregnant mother is negative and the baby she's carrying is positive see as we already know the negative blood group of the mother will recognize the positive blood group of the baby as a foreign body so it will start attacking the baby's blood group so in order to avoid this the medical professionals will give an injection called as RH imunoglobuline which prevents the mother's immunity cells from attacking the positive blood group of the baby if the mother doesn't receives this injection this may lead to a condition called as hemolytic disease of the newborn where the red blood cells of the newborn will be attacked by the mother's immunity cell so this has to be taken care when a Rh negative lady is pregnant apart from these two scenarios there is no evidence which concludes any other side effects any other negative things which are correlated to this negative blood group so as I said in the first of the video no this negative blood group is not a curse it's not a sin to have this it's not a disease it's absolutely okay and normal to have the negative blood group you can have a normal life if you just take few precautions and also there is no correlation between negative blood group people getting more cancer HIV organ failure coming to the quiz question the universal blood donor is option B O negative as I've already explained this in the video a negative blood group person cannot take the positive blood group person's blood but a positive blood group person can always take negative person's blood so in this regard hypothetically O negative blood group can be donated to all the people in emergencies
