So, Splatfest took place last weekend! This was the first Splatfest with the new clout system, and now you're able to play with one or two friends, whereas before you had to have three friends in order to play in the Splatfest together. I teamed up with my dear boyfriend wimmi. :D ❤️

The choice stood between Retro and Modern. This was an easy pick for me, as I love most things retro (especially music, but also clothing).
The 'Fest itself was a lot of fun. I had already decided in advance that I was going to go all Inkbrush this time around. The Inkbrush must be my favourite weapon and it's so much fun to use for turf wars, especially. :3

The new Shifty Station was not my cup of tea (and it was not great for us who love short ranged weapons!). ^.^;; I had a very tough time on the bouncy pads. After the first session I had when playing Splatfest (on the day previous), I realised that I needed some practice, so before I started playing Splatfest on day 2, I took some time traversing the Shifty Station in recon mode. It really helped! Well... bar from that first fail where I just jump straight into the abyss. Lol! But believe you me, I fell many, many times (!) whilst playing on day 1.

This was a very successful Splatfest for wimmi and I, and I couldn't have asked for a more fun Splatfest time. :D Our teammates were brilliant also. I really enjoy how you can choose to stick with a group of randoms in Normal Mode, if you choose to continue after a match has been played. This really enhanced the Splatfest experience! My teams and I went 19-6 (and my personal retro power was 2319.2), so I really feel us Retro:ers did the best we could to help our team win. Sadly, it was not to happen, but congrats to Team Modern!
