What is Newton's Third Law?

Sir Isaac Newton described three laws of motion. Newton's third law of motion states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. That is, when one object exerts a force on a second object, the second object in turn exerts a force on the first that is equal but exerted in the opposite direction. Newton's third law of motion is also sometimes called the action-reaction law.

Example 1:

When a air filled balloon 🎈 released the air rushes out from balloon and exert a force downward it is action and balloon 🎈 goes upward it is reaction but the directions are opposite.

Example 2: 

When a gun is fired the bullet goes forward it is action and gun recoils backward it is reaction.
But the directions are opposite.
