One of the more unique ruins in the Hovenweep/Canyon of the Ancients area is the Lowry Pueblo with its magical Kiva. Having visited many, this is the only we've ever seen with "figures" in the construction! Before drones were prohibited in National monuments, John got a great shot of it from above.

But that isn't all that makes this a wonderful site. Here, unlike many other sites, you are allowed to enter many of the ruins and get a sense of how people may have lived in ancient times. The small rooms, doorways and windows.
