Battery Park City Authority President & CEO B.J. Jones describes the now-completed construction of resiliency measures at the BPC Ball Fields. The project entailed construction of an approximately 800-linear foot flood protection system along the fields' perimeter to protecting the 80,000 square foot playing surface – used by some 50,000 local youth annually – and adjacent community center from the risks associated with storm surge and sea level rise.
