Crown of Ash Board Game Review - First Impression - Card Noir

Crown of Ash is a battle, area of control, worker placement game where you command an army of undead monsters seeking to wrest control of the citadel away from the Dark King (and from each other). Will you raise an unstoppable monster to crush all opposition, or will your minions swarm the battlefield? There can be only one to claim the Crown of Ash.

Check out our first impression of the game where you will acquire resources, summon monsters to do your bidding, build fortifications, take over your opponent's lands, and claim the Black Citadel. Very unique mechanics, attacker has asymmetric advantage which encourages attacking, very tight board means there is no optimum strategy each turn. Beautiful artwork and a fantastic backstory create a very lush gaming atmosphere. This is one you will want on your shelf.
