Meet The Spy But It's AI Hallucinations

Описание к видео Meet The Spy But It's AI Hallucinations

The way I made this was I took screenshots of Meet The Spy about 4 to 5 seconds apart. I then input these screenshots into the AI, telling it what was the starting frame and the ending frame. It in turn generated what it thought was the frames between. It was not given additional information or prompts as to what to create with this frame information. This took surprisingly long, unreasonably long. Like, don't do this in current year. Instead, wait for computers to get better at this. For real. To put things inter perspective it takes like 16 hours to generate 5 seconds. There are about 80 clips in total. What's 16 times 80? A lot. The process of doing this over and over was tiring. Also note-worthy: many clips would turn out to be trash or not funny at all and needed to be redone. Once everything was done the clips were placed on a timeline on top of Meet The Spy and stretched to fit frame-perfect with the start and end frames input from before.

I know a lot of people dislike AI stuff. There's good reasons to do so. The truth is: it's an interesting new technology but it could be used maliciously. We should be aware of this and think about its possible negative implications. Yes, it's funny to laugh at the AI generated slop in this video, it is indeed entertaining but hopefully while doing so, also consider where we're headed. Right now the AI has severe shortcomings. It takes things at face-value, it can not see the greater story and can not understand the bigger picture. It's as if it has no object permanence. In the future maybe a new way of doing this could be used to make something more coherent. This was just a funny stupid video but AI will become better and when it does it may not be so funny...

Thanks for watching. Au revoir.
