A variable pitch vertical axis wind turbine has been developed by VERTOGEN company. This video shows CFD simulations about a flapping airfoil and a 3 blades variable pitch VAWT. Also, a comparison between the VERTOGEN design and the fixed pitch turbine design is shown. A user defined function UDF has been used to control the pitch values.
