We find ourselves in McKees Rocks, PA on a mild Thursday morning in December. McKees Rocks is about three miles from downtown Pittsburgh and was once the main yard and shops of the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie railroad. On this day we are after the Ohio Central and the Neville Island job. We watch some CSX trains on the ex P&LE while waiting for the crew to get moving.
After switching cars in the cramped industrial park the train makes its way to Neville Island, where it will switch cars for the rest of the day. We dont have time to see that happen though, so on the way home we run into an NS local in Leetsdale, PA. Added onto the end of the video is a clip from another day around the same time of an Ohio Central yard job switching cars in Scully yard east of McKees Rocks.
