Columnist Justin Smith slams Tanya Plibersek’s decision to veto a gold mine project in central-west NSW, urging the government to “release every piece of information” on why they made the decision.

Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek shut down a $1 billion gold mine proposal in rural NSW, given that it was set to commence operations on an Indigenous heritage site.

“I think governments keeping secrets like this ... is dead wrong,” Mr Smith told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“I think they should release every piece of information that they’ve got on why made the decision.”
